This April, growth arrived in hushed and holy ways—between the freshly tilled garden beds and the rhythm of tiny feet running through our home. Our first harvest of homegrown lettuce wasn’t just a gardening win—it was a quiet, unexpected healing. There’s something sacred about watching something you planted actually thrive, especially when you’ve nearly forgotten you were still watering it.

Much like that lettuce, I’ve been learning to offer myself the same patience. I’m trading perfection for presence. This season has called me to slow down, loosen my grip on productivity, and reframe motherhood not as something to manage—but as soil to nurture. While painting corners of our home or reorganizing the pantry may seem small, these acts of intention are actually laying a foundation of peace and joy for the little hearts watching me.

April felt much like a pruning season—cutting back what’s overgrown, unnecessary, or heavy. I’ve noticed how easily my children mirror what they see in me, not what I say. And that has pushed me to keep doing the deep work—healing, refining, and surrendering my heart to the One who is faithful in every season to heal me.

It’s not often in the big outcomes that he shows up but in quiet places—in the garden soil, the bedtime prayers, the folding of laundry. These moments remind me that real transformation happens when no one else is watching. As I step into May, I’m clinging to the promise that He who began a good work will carry it to completion. Even when we don’t yet see the harvest, the seeds we sow in love, faith, and consistency are never, ever, EVER wasted.

“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.” — Psalm 92:12–13

1. things I’m loving, wanting or eager to try

Eager to try.. this match made in heaven, I’m a sucker for anything with banana in it 🤤

Want.. to write this on my mirror to repeat every single morning!

Love… this analogy. I’ve never heard of a “third space”! 🥲

👆🏽 I’m a tiny bit of a lipgloss snob and I am very peculiar about the ‘stickiness’ and this checks every box. Bonus that it is derived from natural ingredients 🙌🏽

👆🏽 I can’t believe it’s been over 2 months since I have mentioned my window Cinderella cloths!! Literally use them multiple times a week almost 2 years later. With just water you can have sparkly windows too!

👆🏽 Rechargeable, DIMMABLE & waterproof outdoor lamp, yes please! Ummm and how cute is the wood grain… ADD TO CART!

2.a spring(home)MUST HAVE

SOLAR LIGHTS! We all love that ambient light given off by lamps around the interior of home. Well solar garden lights are like the lamps of the exterior for me. I am AMAZED at how much the right solar light can do to the ambiance of a home and overall vibe. I’ve rounded up a few for various places on the exterior of home.

I’m a sucker for beautiful thought out design details.. these tiles are literally everything!

Our brains were never designed to carry this much input.. Something to think about!

Lindsey is a newer follow for me, but when I say every time I see her posts pop up I KNOW I will leave encouraged.. I MEAN IT! Also, still thinking about how amazing this connection is to nature!

EVERY. SINGLE. WORD!!
