The end of summer always feels like the most nourishing deep breath. And maybe because August always feels like a threshold month. Summer lingers in the rich golden sunsets, laughter still echoes in the late afternoon garden fun, the tomatoes are still ripening on the vine- and let me just tell you, I got the most harvest this year from my cherry tomatoes and I am not mad about it! …. Yet in all this ‘summerness’, you can sense fall pressing in, the cooler mornings, new shifting schedules, and a quiet reminder that change is coming soon. Those beautiful life lessons from Summer’s end.
This month has taught me that the in-between is its own teacher. It’s easy to cling to what was or rush toward what’s next, but there is wisdom in pausing. God always meets us here… in the middle… where He grows patience, perspective, and peace.
As one season gives way to another, I want to carry forward the joy of summer and open my hands wide to what autumn will faithfully bring.
A few things I’m looking forward to in this new season:
- Cozy evenings with candles and blankets
- Heartier meals from the garden harvest
- A slower rhythm and more routine after summer’s spontaneity
- Fresh creative energy that always comes with fall and the cooler weather
- And the reminder that just as seasons turn, so do we, always growing, always being renewed.
Maybe today you’re standing in the “in-between” too.
Can I gift you some encouragement: don’t wish it away! ❤️
The middle is where God often does His deepest work.
I don’t want to rush that sacred work or blessing to come!
1. things I’m loving, wanting or eager to try
Love… this cutie girls night idea.. a new take on “Pint night”!!!
Eager to try… this fall sourdough deliciousness!!!!!!
Want… to add this to my fall bucket list!
Love… to honor and show gratitude for the sacrifices of the men and women who gave us our freedoms. It doesn’t matter the day or time, when I see videos like this it’s immediate tears.

👆🏽 This is the second time ordering these glass canisters for our pantry. I am slowly replacing all plastic and these are the perfect size and a GREAT price for 6!
👆🏽If you have sensitve skin, psoriasis, eczema , blemish prone skin, BUT still want a deep cleansing everyday soap.. this is it. I’ve been using this for years and I love how it leaves my skin feeling super soft and completely clean. Since it is more on the cleansing side, I do suggest ALWAYS moisturizing after using!
2.leaning into fall: a favorite staple
I’m on the hunt for a good trench coat- you know, the ultimate fall staple—lightweight enough for crisp afternoons, but structured enough to layer over sweaters as the season cools. It’s timeless, versatile, and effortlessly pulls together any outfit, whether you’re running errands or heading out for date night. A little round up below of a few on my radar!
