Cream Cheese Brownies

Brownies are a staple, but level it up with the addition of creamy cream cheese and you have a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients
  

Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 6 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour

Brownie Batter:

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 oz semi-sweet baking chocolate chopped
  • 8 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Whisk cream cheese, Greek yogurt, sugar and flour together until well blended and set aside!
  • Preheat oven to 325. Line a 8x8 dish with parchment paper.
  • Mix together flour, salt and baking powder in a medium bowl.
  • Microwave chocolate and butter together in 15 second increments. Mixing between each, until well blended!
  • In another medium size bowl mix eggs, vanilla, and sugar. Stir in the melted chocolate butter mixture. Add this to the flour mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Pour brownie mixture into pan, reserving 1/3 of a cup in the bowl. Then spread cream cheese mixture on top on brownie. 
  • Take the 1/3 cup reserved brownie batter and spoon it over the cream cheese. Use a toothpick to swirl the cream cheese to the brownie.
  • Bake for 50-60 mins until toothpick comes out clean! Make sure toothpick goes in brownie mix not cream cheese.
